It is a sad fact that our youth die on our roads every day. This is partly due to lack of experience and that when we are least qualified to drive to our limits is when we are most likely to do so.
Many young people on country and city roads speed, use mobile phones, and are often distracted by passengers, placing themselves at risk of crashing. In the country the added factors of fatigue, long distances and poor roads add to the risk of crashes occurring.
National Driver Education in conjunction with the Peel Valley Lions Club, Tamworth offers a program to the local youth to assist them in learning life saving driving skills.

These programs are conducted not only in Sydney but also in regional areas such as Tamworth (in conjunction with Peel Valley Lions Club), In the Hunter area in conjunction with our training partner Jan's Driving School and in the Mudgee area through our association with Mudgee PCYC.
These programs have been promoted extensively in local television, radio and newspapers.

Peel Valley Lions Club Over the past 3 years we have run 9 defensive driving awareness courses in Tamworth. We have found National Driver Education are continually upgrading their courses and this has instilled confidence in the Lions Club Defensive Driving Committee to continue this project into the future.
We wish to convey our thanks to the principals of National Driver Education for helping to make the North West area Of NSW a safer place to drive.
